Lieutenant Daniel has fourteen (14) years of law enforcement experience, beginning his career with the Klamath County Sheriff's Office in 2003. Lieutenant Daniel moved to the Klamath Falls Police Department in 2007, where he has served as a Patrol Officer, Street Crimes Detective, Major Crimes Detective, and Patrol Corporal.
Lieutenant Daniel is the Team Leader for the Klamath Falls SWAT Team and has served in various roles as an entry Team Member and Assistant Team Leader. He is a National Tactical Officer's Association (NTOA) Less Lethal Instructor, AR-15 Armorer, Glock Armorer, Patrol Rifle Instructor, Submachine Gun Instructor, and DPSST Firearms Instructor.
Lieutenant Daniel serves as a Watch Commander, providing guidance and indirect supervision for two patrol teams. He is responsible for the strategic planning of his patrol teams’ activities, to help reduce and prevent crime through proactive patrols and enforcement.
Lieutenant Daniel has attended the College of the Redwoods Police Academy, and DPSST Corrections and Patrol Academies. He holds his Supervisory and Advanced Police Certificate from DPSST. He has attended the Drug Enforcement Administration's (DEA) Basic School, Hostage Rescue School, SWAT Team Leader School, The Sergeant's Academy and numerous other patrol, tactical, and detective operations schools and conferences. Lieutenant Daniel has received many commendations in his career including; SWAT Officer of the Year, Officer of the Year, Chief’s Commendation for Leadership, and Distinguished Service Award.
Lieutenant Daniel serves as the Klamath County Law Enforcement Representative for the 13th Judicial District Drug Court, and manages the Department’s Reserve Officer Program.
