Lieutenant Rob Dentinger has twenty three (23) years of law enforcement experience, starting as a Reserve Police Officer with the City of Klamath Falls in 1992. Lieutenant Dentinger was hired as a full time police officer by the City of Klamath Falls in July of 1996. Lieutenant Dentinger has served as a police officer, motor officer, SWAT member, major crimes detective, patrol sergeant, and detective sergeant. Lieutenant Dentinger is an instructor of civil liabilities and ethics at both the Klamath Falls Reserve Academy and Klamath Community College.
Lieutenant Dentinger is responsible the Patrol and Operations Division (POD), which consists of Patrol, SWAT, Traffic, Community Service and Volunteers. Lieutenant is responsible for providing leadership, coaching/mentoring, guidance and discipline for sworn personnel and volunteers.
As a Lieutenant for the Klamath Falls Police, Lieutenant Dentinger is responsible for planning, directing, administering the activities and operations of the Patrol and Operations Division consistent with community policing objectives. Lieutenant Dentinger ensures the Klamath Falls Police Department is able to adequately respond and address community concerns and emergency situations.
Lieutenant Dentinger has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Northwest Christian University, holds a Management Certification from the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training and has been selected to attend the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia in April of 2016.
Lieutenant Dentinger is a member Oregon Association Cheifs of Police and a number of community boards and groups.
