The City of Klamath Falls’ Police Department is accepting applications for Patrol Officer. This position is responsible for patrol and investigative law enforcement activities. Starting salary of $4500/mo plus the excellent employer supplemented benefits and our professional work environment make the total package very attractive. Required: U.S. Citizenship, age 21, H.S. diploma/GED, and valid ODL. Process includes testing for selected applicants. Pre-employment is also conditional on a knowledge testing, physical testing, background screening and psychological screening. The City of Klamath Falls is located in the high desert of south central Oregon about 20 miles north of the California border. Our department serves a population of 20,000 within the city limits which is part of the Urban Growth Boundary which totals 45,000 in population. The department is comprised of 36 sworn officers, 4 clerical and support personnel, an evidence technician, 11 reserve officers, 11 police explorers, and 5 Volunteers in Police Service. The City encompasses 20 square miles and is home to Oregon Institute of Technology.
The Klamath Falls Police Department operates with a philosophy of community policing coupled with heightened customer service.
